Lesson Plan Three QAR Reflection

  Reflection on Lesson WHAT ? What happened? What went well? What was an area of weakness? Which objectives were met?  What is the evidence? Which students did not meet objectives?  Which students exceeded objectives?  Why? First we began our lesson with our introductions the students were very excited to get started and we began by asking how they were we then spoke about how cold the weather is and how we need jackets now when going outside. From here we went over our agenda and our classroom rules as a whole group. We began by going over our vocabulary word wall today we had some harder words on the wall so the students were having a difficult time pronouncing the words they knew what they were and there definitions but saying them was challenging. The students actually laughed in moments when trying to say the vocabulary words correctly finding It funny how they were trying to pronounce them but soon enough they began to grasp how to pronounce each word. Which students did not meet objectives?  Which students exceeded objectives?  Why? First we began our lesson by going over our rules that we had established the week before. I had our rule laminated along with our. sheet we signed stating we would follow these rules. From here we went into our introductions where students had to answer the questions how they were doing today and what is their favorite season? After our introductions we proceeded to get into reviewing our four P's preview, purpose, prior knowledge, and prediction as well as completing our vocabulary word wall. One of our students had mentioned she had prior knowledge to our story because she had read the story before. Lesson One Reflection Story Mapping

  WHAT? What happened? What went well? What was an area of weakness? Our lesson on the story of  The Garden of Abdul Gasazi by Chris Van Allsburg was a story map activity that contained learning about story elements. We began our lesson by completing and introductory activity on introducing ourselves by saying our names our favorite color and our favorite book. After this we had the students complete a sheet to fill in the emoji that best matched how they feel about reading. From here we introduced vocabulary word wall and we reviewed vocabulary words that are in our story. We then went over and introduced the four Ps which our students knew so they conducted this part of the lesson very well. From here we began to introduce story elements using our anchor chart that we had characters, setting, plot, and theme. Each student was able to give a definition of each story element.
