This lesson effectively introduced the fourth graders to the concept of advocacy through the historical lens of the Women's Suffrage movement in New York. Beginning with community building and a review of expectations, the lesson progressed to explain cause and effect using relatable examples before focusing on the specific cause and effect of women gaining the right to vote in New York. Through an engaging role-playing activity as lobbyists, students actively participate in advocating for suffrage. The students learned about economics today we taught our lesson by teaching what goods and services are as our main activity. This lesson we focused on specific skills such as  economic reasoning by studying charts, graphs, and data, categorizing resources based on specific criteria, cause and effect. We focused on our vocabulary  words E conomy, Consumer, Product, Goods, and Entrepreneur. This lesson introduce students to fundamental economic principles by exploring examples within New York City. Lesson Plan 2 History

The students learned about past important historical events that had happened in NY we had selected 11 total events to go over on a timeline. Each student created a timeline of the 11 events we had learned. The students were able to understand the events of the timeline in order by date. In their journals they were asked to recall one historical event and date it as well as explain its importance. They were each able todo so with out any difficulties. The students appeared to have weakness a little bit in the area of cause and effect.  SO WHAT? What was learned from this experience? ELED 436 Lesson 1 Geography

We then dove into explain our vocab word wall where we had student identify what a geography is. After vocabulary we introduced four different types of maps and there purposes. Population map, road map, climate map, and purpose maps were the 4 we were introducing. After we completed our map anchor charts we had the students look at different maps and tell us which map was which giving us its definition. Lesson Plan 6 Paragraph Shrinking

We began our lesson by thanking our students for having us teach them they were very sad to see that this was our last day with them. We started the lesson by asking students introduction questions if they celebrate Thanksgiving and what their favorite food is to eat for it. Then we reviewed our class room rules. From there we introduced summarizing our hamburger anchor chart explaining the  main idea, supporting details, and our conclusion. The we reviewed our 4Ps preview, purpose, prior knowledge, and predict.
